Prototypes are a thing of the past. With the software platform “Cross Connected” from Rüdenauer 3D Technology GmbH, mechatronic processes can be simulated and visualized in real-time as high-end 3D graphics. This makes it possible for businesses to virtually develop and optimize machine and system solutions and to experience these solutions interactively. The software can be used in the areas of product development, e-learning, sales, and service. In an interview, we asked Rüdenauer 3D Technology about the idea, startup time, and future prospects.
On 11/12/2015, the CyberChampions Award was awarded as part of the ShareBW Congress. Dr. Appenzeller studied physics in Karlsruhe until 1996, writing his thesis at the KIT Institute for Anthropometrics and Robotics (IPR) with Prof. Dr. Dillmann. He then finished his doctoral dissertation in 2005 in the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University, where he was also an advisor as a junior professor from 2008 until 2010.
The CyberChampions Award 2014/15 was awarded on November 6th, 2014, within the Hightech.Unternehmer.Kongress 2014 (high-tech.entrepreneur.convention). All in all, the KIT teams demonstrated a strong performance. No less than six KIT foundings or founding projects reached the final round of the award this year and were allowed to pitch in front of a competent jury – which includes former prize winners of the CyberChampions. From all the finalists, the jury selected the prize winners: the categories “BestConcept” and “NewComer” as well as the INIT innovation prize were awarded.
